Working together to bring proportional representation to the Golden State.
Reforming California's electoral system isn't going to happen overnight. It's a big lift, and the major parties have little interest in pursuing an electoral reform that distributes political power fairly. So if we want a multiparty democracy, we're going to have to do the lifting ourselves.
Fortunately, we're not alone. ProRep is a growing coalition of 16 parties and advocacy organizations that's seeding a grassroots movement to adopt proportional representation in California’s State Legislature.

We believe democratic reforms should be produced democratically.
One of ProRep's primary goals is to form a broad, inclusive coalition that represents and reflects the full breadth of our state’s diversity. We’re committed to working with all groups open to advocating for proportional representation regardless of their political preferences, financial resources, or organizational mission.
The only requirements we have of coalition members is that they support proportional representation, support democracy, and do not endorse violence or engage in hate speech.
